Handling Practice will start again on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. at Wildwood Park (corner of Division St. & Boyer St.) Anyone interested in practicing with their dogs are welcome to attend at no cost. This is a great way to socialize your dogs and brush up on skills for the next show ring experience. Beginners are always welcome and encouraged. The kennel club members are taking turns judging . Come Meet The Breeds! Our annual "DOGS ON PARADE" will be held on SUNDAY, September 14, 2008 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Wheatland Village. Please be aware that your newsletter says: Saturday, Sept. 14th but it is Sunday, Sept. 14th. We will be setting up a show ring and canopies for shade on the lawn between Wheatland Village and Walla Walla General Hospital. The public is invited to attend this event and lunch will be available at noon. Call any member of the WWKC and volunteer your purebred dog to represent it's breed in the parade. We are looking for all breeds of dogs. Advertising will be done on our website in the Union Bulletin and the Buyline Ads. Canine Good Citizen (CGC) testing will be held starting at 1:00 p.m. for any dog (including purebreds and mixed breeds) at a fee of $15.00 per dog. When your dog passes the 10-step CGC test you will receive in the mail a certificate from AKC. Meeting Information: (DID YOU KNOW ?) The general membership meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month. The next general membership meeting is September 17, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. Location: The Holiday Inn Express Motel at 1433 West Pine Street in Walla Walla.
